After dealing with a terrible Brosul Brazilian 34 PICT and another crappy Chinese 34 PICT I bought a rebuilt German Solex from Tim at Volkzbitz. It was beautiful and has worked perfectly for several years. Great customer service.

Installed a new vent window on the driver side. The latch had broken off a while back.

I fixed my exhaust leak yesterday though Greg says my bus is the quietest bus he has ever heard. The damper pipe was loose at the muffler. I fixed all that and then finished bolting up my CB and my Sirius radio. I also put RainX on my windows. I need to check the gear oil level in the trans, work on my carb, and make sure the brakes I installed are still tight. I have not checked them after I installed them to make sure everything is tight.

Do you still have the washers between the hub and the wheel??

I'm finally getting ready to sell the Single Cab. Then it would not start. Found that the battery would no longer take a charge. Yesterday I replaced the battery in the Single Cab. What a pain to change a battery with the stock air cleaner in the way! Finished cleaning out the cab and then needed to vacuum out the treasure chest. The pin on one of the hinges was gone. Arrrgh. I found that an 8x32 machine screw is just about the right size for a temporary pin.
Today a buyer was coming to look but found out he has to work all day. And it raining.

The ad goes in the Samba/Craigslist in a day or two. Cheapest running/driving Split SC in the Samba is $14,500. I'll probably ask less than that.

No. I ground down the calipers a bit to clear the wheels.

so made sure I had nothing loose on the front disc brakes. Checked the gear oil level and found it to be low so I will get some gear oil from Greg tomorrow to fill it up. Also taped up my windows to prevent or limit the amount of water that gets through. I also fixed my carb issue of the fuel being dumped into the intake without the engine running by replacing the float and the shutoff valve.

Tomorrow I will fill the trans and check the brake fluid.

So thanks to Greg for the gear oil pump and gear oil, I checked my trans and found that it was dry! So I put about 3/4 of a gallon in. Drove it around a few times and topped it off again. So now I would say minus the gas, the bus is ready to go to BBB. \:D/

Just need to pack my clothes.

While this sh!t is getting old, I must be getting good at it! :-/

Did a transaxle swap on the Plump Truck from pulling it into the Garaj Mahal to driving it out inside of 6 hours.

Had swapped it because it had a “whiner”, but the replacement started popping out of fourth.

Will be either having it rebuilt or trade it for a rebuilt one. :-/

Fixed my break light issue, had to clean some corrosion off of the master cylinder switch.

Also finished replacing my fresh air duct seals
