Here is what a P.O. installed:

I already read this:
http://vintagebus.com/howto/tank.html

It seems that the tank was installed following these directions. I don't like the idea of having to pull the engine to replace a short section of big fat fuel line. Has anyone seen a better way to accomplish the same thing?

Which fuel line? If it's the one in the picture, just pull the filler neck out, take the line off and replace it in reverse........
I have a bay window tank in my single cab, it has a filler neck that bolts to the flange. (aka baywindow)

I replaced the roughly 2.25" diameter hose with a new hose and replaced the rubber filler neck seal. Everything seems tight and secure and should last a few years.

I just did that with a tank I got at BugIn 33 and it worked like a dream in my SC.

Used the neck off of a bad SC tank and welded a vent tube onto the side of the neck out of steel brake line to hook to the vent on top of the tank.
