Thought you guys might like to check this out. I'd post pictures here but I don't know how, so they are on the Samba: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewto ... 1&start=80
Its a thread I started about a '58 palm green/sand green bus I resurrected over the past seven months. It was found locally by a buddy of mine who sold it to me. The bus has never been out of San Diego County as it was sold by Crest Motors of Escondido, so its a pretty unusual bus in that respect.

Really nice work Dan. Is this a keeper or soon-to-be for sale?

(If I want to show pictures here I upload them on TS and link them.)

yes very nice work Dan. Love it! I love it so much I am wanting to sell the SC and buy it but I know your asking price will be more than my selling price.

Thanks guys. I have no plans to sell at this point. I really can't imagine wanting a different bus than this as it is everything I like, the color scheme, pressed bumpers/high tail lights, original drivetrain, six volt, a local, low mileage bus, straight, dry and mostly original. I probably will sell something down the line, but it will likely be the oval window bug.

Looks great, Dan! I saw you polishing it the other day and was very tempted to stop and help, but the little one just HAD to get to Trolley Barn Park. Maybe next time.

Dan, Just went through half your thread over on TS ( again ) and    wow!
If I can get mine looking half as good as yours that would be awesome!

I'm hoping this weekend I can finish up the paint removal so I can plan my next move.

Again, outstanding job =D>
