I was wondering if there were any members who have done their own headliner install. I have a 60 15 window and I am considering doing the mohair headliner by myself to save some duckets. Is it doable? Is it difficult? Any one want to barter for their services just let me know. I am looking at doing it in the late June time frame.
Thanks

I just finished putting a mohair liner in my '63 11 window. Its not too difficult. The trickiest areas are the front and even worse the back. Its easier to do than a bug headliner. If you want any tips just ask. Geez, I probably should have taken some pics while I was doing it and wrote an article.

Yah pics and an article would of been nice. Where did you buy the headliner from? How long did it take you? Any special tools needed? Maybe when its time to do mine I might be able to coerce you with some beer or seafeed(lobster).

I bought mine from Wolfsburg West. The fit is super tight, maybe too tight IMO, but then I have never installed a bus headliner so I probably made some errors. The only tool you need is one to fit the headliner strips into the metal channels. I made one out of some thick steel. I used gel contact cement which works very well, sets up super fast and does not run all over the place. When you get ready to do it PM and I can come by.

I know this is for a wood liner but figured here would be the best place to post it! :???:

Found it in thedrambadotcom's gallery. Looks like this would be the way to go if you are attempting to install a wood headliner. I've done it before and can testify to the pain-in-the-assness of this job. Seem like the more bows you add, the better, not to mention the added "edge helper" as well as "bow-studs"! :-k
