I saw a white over dark blue bus in Point Loma last weekend. Plates said "Joes Bus". Anyone we know?

Wasn't the venue for that show the one that got burnt up in 2007? It was like days after the show a wild fire moved through.

Same place but the fire was a year before, not this time.

Another sighting Sunday afternoon in a parking lot in OB. A black primer double cab. Bullet turn singles and Safari's with white frames. Looks to be a nice work in progress.

Wow, Fish, you get around. Do you have houses in all points SD now? Shelter Island? Pt. Loma? OB? Must be nice.

I bought a junk Ghia body and parts from a guy on Craigs list last sunday,
The guy I bought it from has a '57 23 window in the garage he bought 20 years ago in Alpine, it's almost completely original, no rust, and not for sale.
I told him I would take really good care of it if he'd just sell it to me

I know that bus Russell. I bought an ambulance step from the guy a few months ago. I also tried ot get him to sell it. I doubt he will ever do anything with it, but at least its stored in a nice dry place.

Did you guys drop off "Want to join a bus club?" cards? It would be great to see it at FF16.

There's a nicely done bus in my town that I've seen inside a garage for years. Done placed newsletters in his mailbox, even talked to him once, but not only uninterested in joining a club, I've never seen this bus on the road. :???:

I think a lot of people hear the term "car club" and think of perfect show quality vehicles (that only come out on sunny Sundays) and the owners standing around in matching club-logo jackets. Telling some people that "we don't care what your bus looks like" does not seem to sway them.

That thing would have been laying on its side if it was camping with us at Butterfield. I just don't understand being a want-a-be purist why someone would change the ride height or tire size from stock. If they dig this bus up in a million years is this what we want to represent the VW world?!?

But it looks cool!
