David,

Do you know if the forums have an RSS feed?

I'm on another forum site for collecting Coleman stuff and they just "turned on" their feed, so I don't know if it's just a setting you can turn on and off or what…

Thanks!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS

It boils down to this part of the article: RSS feeds can be read using software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader", or "aggregator", which can be web-based, desktop-based, or mobile-device-based. The user subscribes to a feed by entering into the reader the feed's URI or by clicking a feed icon in a web browser that initiates the subscription process. The RSS reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new work, downloads any updates that it finds, and provides a user interface to monitor and read the feeds. RSS allows users to avoid manually inspecting all of the websites they are interested in, and instead subscribe to websites such that all new content is pushed onto their browsers when it becomes available.

From the phpBB forums (phpBB is forum software) I found this discussion about it:

Quote:
Have you tried the built in ATOM feeds?

admin panel>general>feed settings

Add /feed.php to your URL to see the output when you have it turned on.

Thanks! Works like a charm.

For the uninitiated, here's a screen grab of Google Reader, the "feed reader" I use. You can see on the left column the various feeds. There are actually many more feeds I subscribe to but only feeds with new postings show up. Quite a handy way of keeping an eye on lots of things at the same time in the same place.
