HELP!

I have a new smartphone, and am getting the Banned script when I try to log into the Forums (when using my cool new mobile device).

Can anyone help me?

Yes!

Got your message late last night. Would you happen to know the IP address used by the mobile? :???:

Ivan,

The IP address is not static (meaning every session set up it changes). I have been able to access the site with my BlackBerry before, so it seems that this new device is behind some sort of Sprint firewall. Can you unblock anything that says it's from Sprint? Or do you even have any way of knowing from whence the access request comes.

Maybe Hudman knows the IP technology better than I do, and can add some helpful insight.

I looked into all your previous IPs and took some action. See if it works now. :???:

Nope, still banned.

I'm working on trying to get a static IP address assigned to my mobile (not normal, but maybe can be done....).

Wierd thing is that it used to work on my Blackberry :???:

Bah, fooey on the CrackBerry. I'm trying to quit. It's a bit like heroin, once you get over the withdrawls, it aint so bad (and this new device is like methadone.....)

Not that I would know anything about drug addiction, now where is my coffee

Ivan,

Can you unblock any requests coming from this default gateway:

10.236.192.1

Here is my current IP address:

10.236.199.197

what phone you using? The best thing to use is this:
http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/download/
I have no trouble getting on almost anything with this. It does have problems with some flash stuff but the forums works great. 10,000 times better than IE.

Go to Network-Tools.com which is where I find limited info on IPs, such as where it's from. The obvious ones show somewhere in Europe or Russia. Your 10.*.*.* is showing "other" (XXX), whatever THAT means!?! :???:

Hud,

I'm using a new Samsung Instinct CDMA phone with EVDO RevA on the Super Fast NOW Network from Sprint Communications. It's blazing fast, pages download at broadband speeds, touch screen, very schanzzy.

It only shows "other" (XX) for me, you have one to many X's, which makes it look like my Sprint device is doing something naughty....

I get the banned message from my crackberry. I would like to check the site when possible remotely.

What do you need from me? How do I get it?

I don't know what the IP address is but I can say that if I switch the browser config from the corporate setting to the "Internet Browser" I can log on. I just can't log on using my corporate config. Guess I will need to find out what the IP address is.
