I found these pix in thesamba.com of roof patches and figured it could be a good start for a repair thread using David's camper as a base.

It gives a good idea on how to repair the roof without having to change the whole clip!

From here on out we can post repairs as they are done. ;-)

Indirectly related, the pix are from Thailand and these guys are so hard core they manually create their own stampings!!!

Count me in! I'm getting tired of the rattling tin on my front floorboards! Plus my battery is about to fall through.

I have some leftover sheet metal from working on my bus I will be happy to donate. Let me know when you're ready to get to work.

i purchased the gerson nose bottom piece for my bus. when do classes start? who wants to learn? i intend to show David on one roof patch, then watch him do rest. i will take any original metal to form patches from. it is easier to weld german bus metal to german bus metal.

working space needed. i can supervise, but that is about it now. swelling has gone down maybe 1/2" in diameter, but there is another clot on calf in addition to thigh part of right leg. since my blood wont coagulate i can't risk a cut.

I will volunteer my place if you really want to do it, Bill. I even have plenty of vehicles sitting in the driveway that need welding  plus a 220 hook up. The question is when? This weekend would be fine by me, or the weekend of the 16/17. Just say when.
