Very cool!

I'm sure he appreciates the "how to" training he is getting from a very knowledgeable mechanic.
One day he's gonna look back and remember the good times he had with his old man!

While the motor was out we added a Bowden tube to the accelerator cable to keep it from digging into the transmission housing...can't pay for this kind of learning when you are a 17 yo kid who wants his own bus...

Greg or Ivan...

Do you have a picture for the tube? Is it the red thing in the picture? I really need to install one for my SC since it is digging into the trans and I believe this is why my engine won't idle at 1k rpm. What can be used for a tube?

We used bicycle brake line tubing. Kit came with ends and all. I have no idea how well it works because I'm no longer allowed to drive my bus, it's Kyle's daily driver now...

He says it works way better and does not hang up and make the motor rev at stop signs.

WW has the accelerator cable bowden tube.

It's about half an inch too long so trim before installing. More info here:

So here is my new dilemma:

As I mentioned before, it seems as though my son Kyle has appropriated The Hatch as his own, and I am no longer allowed to drive or use it.

Here he is leaving for school this morning:

https://vimeo.com/154999310

He had seen a single cab at BBB that he was interested in, now he is leaning toward a passenger bus (more seats=more friends) and something he can turn into a camper if necessary...

I think i'm screwed, until I help him buy his own bus, The Hatch is no longer mine. What to do?

I'm sad, but proud, mostly sad...
