A special offer for SV2s members....a **free** boat trailer. We used this to haul a 14' wooden row boat that we built between San Diego the Eastern Sierra. We probably made 8 trips over the years. There was a wooden platform on the nose of the trailer where we carried about 500 pounds of camping and fishing gear. Sadly the boat (La Gata) succumbed to the years, weather, and dry rot. So we have left this trailer, no boat, and a desire to recover a chunk of our back yard. Maybe a place to put another bus? Maybe!

The dimensions: Total length: 17'; Frame width (between the wheel wells) 51.5"; Total width to the edge of the wheel wells: 67".
It has two 4.80X8 tires that currently hold air. They are old and cracked and I would not rely on them to travel very far or very fast before replacement.
No paperwork...then again there is no ID number anywhere so getting it registered should not be a problem.
No lights...but for anyone who will pick this thing up I will throw in a brand new never used set of Harbor Freight magnet mount lights, also for **free**.

The one big negative...no coupler. It had one but many years back a "friend" helped me move it and managed to destroy the coupler. I figure anyone with a welder, a new coupler and a few pieces of steel could install a new one pretty easily.

The frame is steel channel (not box) so it is really solid. It probably weighs 250? 300? pounds. You could haul it to recycle and get some decent money for the steel.

No I cannot deliver it.

So there it is. Anyone want it before I stick it on CL and deal with some of those trolls? We are in OB and the trailer could roll out right into the alley.

Semi-interested in it, but too short a notice on OCTO/Classic week!

Go on with whoever shows up for it. If you still have it after this weekend, I may be talking to you. Good luck!

I though you might be an interested party! I will not list it on CL until you have your shot.

I'll take it, I've been wanting to build another teardrop and it will make a good frame to start with.

And Mr. Russell just called and he is coming out tomorrow to pick it up. Unless he changes his mind after inspecting the trailer we consider it gone!

Thanks Russell!

Showed up with the single cab and a saws all, we cut it in half and put it into the truck.
You can't beat a free trailer that includes a free plate of warm cookies!
