One cool thing that happened at the Xmas Party is we decided as a club to make a nice donation to the London Bridge Bulli's club to go toward the BBB XXI efforts. Since we have been enjoying the BBB event for so many years, and it's been forever since we donated anything to their raffle, we decided to take a few dollars from the kitty and send them up to Lake Havasu. When I reached out to Ronnie to let him know our decision, he was overwhelmed with gratitude, as all their proceeds to to charity. Ronnie and his team decided that they would use the money to buy a full side tent for a Sundial/EZ Camper, made with poles from Randar Wheels and canvas from Kim. If there are any dollars left over, he will buy as many Snap-On dual drain plug and transmission plug tools (22mm drain and 17mm Allen) as he can buy with our money, and we will get our club name mentioned numerous times during the raffle. Ronnie believes that the money was best leveraged to a raffle item and would bring much more in ticket sales than just the raw donation.

Ronnie posted our generous contribution on the Buses By The Bridge Facebook page.

This was absolutely a good thing to do and so much in the Christmas spirit.

Thanks to all the club members, those who attended, those who could not, those that have come before and those who are keeping the club alive today.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

I was so happy to see this. Ronnie and the team donate thousands and thousands of dollars to charities in the Lake Havasu area every year from the proceeds from BBB. I am one of those SV2s "members" who have been mostly inactive for years but this action by the club made me very proud to have that faded SV2s sticker on the bus.

Excellent idea for the donation! Looks like the gifts were clever and the guests had fun!

they are closing the one in San Diego. Not the one in San Marcos. You're good Chris.

That place is a great place to have once. After that it isn't so good. Been there 4 times (2 different locations) and it hasn't been a place of "oh I must have this again". The beer and fried pickles is what makes me want to go back. Not their burgers. I get a better tasting burger from In-N-Out or The Habit. Hell Red Robin has better tasting burgers.

The one in OC closed, not because of the location, because it was horribly run. I went there three times, did the whole "build your own burger" never once did they get it right. They gave us free meal coupons to come back each time. So I paid once and ate three times, all three were a disaster.

Let's not even comment on the dry dense hard as a brick tasteless hamburger meat.

It was a cool concept, horribly executed.

I love bacon, I love hamburgers, I love them together, something about grinding them up together does not work like you think it should.

RIP Slaters 50/50.

the only thing that worked in that location in Lake Forest was the strip club. Everything else has come and gone.

Captain was the next exit. This joint was called The Library. They just relocated to Anaheim.

And for the record, I never went to either of these places. My co-worker did all the time and knew a lot of the girls. Even had his credit card information stolen from Creams. :???:
