OK the time has come to start planning this event. This will be a simple cruise up the coast starting at Shelter Island. I figure we can start there and make our way North to Oceanside for a bonfire. Why North? Well one the border is not far from Shelter Island and two it allows our friends from the OC a shorter drive home after the event. So the details are as follows...

Meet at Shelter Island at Friendship Bell (way on the end by Harbor Police) at 8:30am. We will leave at 9am sharp (no joke) and head North. We will make some stops here and there (haven't decided where just yet) long enough to quickly see the area. Then we will continue our trip North until we reach Oceanside Harbor. There are several fire pits there that I hope to snatch early before heading South. The parking is $8 and they do take credit cards. We can chill and relax until 10pm even though the sign says 8pm (trust me on this one).

The only question I have is do we do this on Saturday the 13th or Sunday the 14th?

I will publish the route plans later so any and all can join and catch up with us. Make sure your CBs are in working order and cell phones are charged.

So with this cruise we will be having a member appreciation day. So at the end of the cruise, we will be having food provided to thank those who continue to be SV2 members. See you all Saturday.

I had a great time. Thanks to Rob and Julie, Dave and Charity, Heime, and my co-worker Marius from Romania for making it out. No one broke down but I did have my wheel dust cap come off. The sites were beautiful and the smiles and thumbs up we got were even better. Thanks for a fun day and see you guys next time.

I will be getting the pictures together that Marius and I took soon and I will post them up.
