Pyro, bummer on the melt in the Dormy. AND so random about the cousin encounter!
Turbo_g, cool pics and awesome camp. Surprising to not see a bathtub ring around the lake from the drought. FYI, Bodie is almost ALWAYS the coldest spot in California when the newspaper does the hottest and coldest cities in our state for the day.
Slayer, nice little travel video and kewl pics also. I like your Coleman lantern mirror dangler.
btw, what happened with the LPZ CMPR coming along on the trip? I thought they were part of the pack for this one.

We are the hard core 3!! No ring because the spillway going into the other lake, aka: twin lakes, was closed and not draining into the lower lake, BTY the lower lake had a ring!! Bodie today was the coldest place in the lower 48 yesterday, at 17 deg.

I know we are five months out (maybe a bit more), but I'd like to get an early idea of who will be accompanying the "hard core three" this year for Voyage to Twin Lakes...

I realize it is a long trip, but it is so worth it.

Anyone else interested in going?

After driving to OCTO - and I have made the Eastern Sierra trip in the '69 - I applaud those who make this journey in a split in the summer. You are much tougher and more resilient than I.
We will head up the 395 to Lee Vining several times this summer but in a comfortable modern vehicle with air conditioning and many power accessories.

Larry,

You should pull your bus up there, stage your car at Lee Vining, and run up to twin lakes and camp with us!!!
