All of the sites that we reserved have been paid for. If you don't have a site but would like to join us you have two options.

1) You can see if someone that reserved a site is willing to share their site with you. As long as they aren't pulling a trailer you should be able to get two buses in each site. You will have to pay an extra vehicle fee when you get to the park.

2) You can go to the agua caliente reservation site and reserve a site near ours. Sites 17-20 are open as of this posting and are adjacent to our sites. http://reservations.sdparks.org/

We're sharing a spot with Serg and Maria. What is the weather like that time of year? I imagine warm during the day and butt cold at night? Are there amenities? Bathrooms, pool, spa, personal masseuse, breakfast in bed?

showers, huge hot spring spa, swimming pool, you will have to bring your own personal masseuse, and if you want to serve us all breakfast in bed please feel free to do so!!
Warm days 70's, night time temp is not to bad, I would say low 50's, right now the low there is 55. Hit the mud caves during the day on Sat. Maybe an easy short cruse??

Should be fun!!

Remember this WED. is the club monthly meeting .... come on out!!

Ok. I'll let you know if we can swing early Friday, doubtful the way work has been. If not let me know if you leave later.

The bad news.. ... Agua Caliente is closed due to flash floods!!!
I wonder what flash floods did to the mud caves??? Make them muddier!!

The good news.. ... as Larry said the park is scheduled to reopen on the 16th.
I spoke to the ranger this morning and he said there will be no problem for us.

Check in time is 2pm.

I am all for a late morning or noon caravan up, maybe 11-12 ish?

If needed:
Directions:
111 miles from San Diego. From Ramona through Julian: East on State Highway 78 to Scissors Crossing then south 26 miles on Highway S2 to the park entrance.
From Interstate 8: East on Interstate 8 and exit at Ocotillo, then 22 miles north on Highway S2 to the park entrance.

More details at tonight's meeting.

I'm still a secure "don't know yet" for this trip  but this much I can say...

Done some serious mudding with the Jeep (RIP) after heavy rains throughout the area. Even with the 4WD almost got myself into stuckish situations. If you attempt to go to the caves, the most perilous part is that extreme U-ee left turn after the corner of Hollywood & Vine! Also, wear proper footwear and make sure every single person going into the caves has a flashlight or such with him/her! Of course I'm sure you will have a number of buses going and not just a single one! ;-)
