"Work on Your Bus Day in May" is planed for;

Saturday May 18th
9:00-?
2820 Adams Ave.
San Diego, Ca. 92116

Last year we had aprox 12+ buses there. The projects ranged from mild to wild. If you have a project for your bus that you would like a little help with, or you can't work on your bus at your home, now is the time.

My shop is not a mechanics shop! The area available to work on our buses is a hard packed dirt parking lot in the rear of my shop where I park work vehicles.. There is only a small area that has asphalt in front of my shop (2-3 buses). I do have plywood to lay down for those needing a cleaner floor area, or you can bring some ground cover. I do have means to dispose of oil for those wanting to do an oil change. I will bring a small welder for those that need it! And of coarse if you have tools it would be appreciated if you can bring some. Any projects that may take a while to do 2+ hours!! we definitely need a heads up so we will be more prepared!! So give me some idea of the projects you have, and it is important to have some workers helpers etc!!! This is a casual time to help other members with their buses.

I do have a request from someone to see if his SC could be raised back to stock height!!! He will have all the parts required, we just need HELPERS!! It would make for a great photo/article for the news letter. I know some of you have done this before, and your assistance would be very helpful!

To make this happen we need YOU!

You can PM me with questions or to discuss anything regarding this bus work day.

for the record, it is NOT me asking for this. I would prefer to get lower but no funds to do that right now.

If I can make it I will be there bright and early to leave around lunch time. Sorry but have evening plans.

Doesn't Serg have a narrowed beam? If so, can someone tell him I will trade my stock beam for his narrowed beam if he didn't already trade it? I know he is a man of trades so...

William, Sergio is just swapping from one of his buses to the SC so I don't believe he will have anything to trade/sell.

Dan, I have no clue who will be there. I will be duh! And Sergio, so if it is just the 2 of us so be it!!
I would hope others would come to help Sergio, after all he did hook us up with the KQ Ranch camping!!

This was a real fun event last year. Unfortunately we will be out of town this weekend. Hope everyone has a fun time.

I am actually in town this weekend. I will be there! I'd like to get my steering box swapped out and maybe remove my wiper assembly. Finally got new wiper shafts but haven't put them in yet.

OK I should be there around 9am. I will only be there enough to give Chris a hard time then leave. :-$

My SC aint going to make it. The trans is leaking and I need to top off the trans before I drive it. I am not going to damage the trans just so I can fill it up. Also the starter still won't work. So see who ever bright and early.

Got my brand new used steering box installed after carrying it around for the last 7 years. World of difference! Now I've got to learn how to drive it again. :-P
