Leaving today for Singapore, gonna have to miss this, too. I should be back around September 30th; what's the October event?

Myself, Pamela, Sergio =D> and Maria are sharing a camp site for Sat. night. We split the cost making it only $27.5 for each bus.

Anyone else up for Sat. nite camping. The Campbodians will be there.

I believe we have sites #453, Campbodians #452, #451. There are still many avail in the same area.

Chris you have that right, me and the usual suspects will be there. We have sites 444-453. There are a couple guys attending with us that haven't split their site so if anyone else wants to join us for camping the night before, feel free to contact me. We have about a dozen of us that are going to be there. We're celebrating my good friend Johnny Jimenez's (Barndoor Mafia) birthday so we're skipping the carne' and bringing the full CamPbodain feast. Let's all get together for another good time, see you all there.

if I wasn't so far behind in my "honey do" list, I would be camping out too. As it stands right now, I will be lucky to make the movie.

My plan is to wing it! If I make it to the shindig, will try to slip in if there's a little spot available. If not I can always just drive home. :-k

I am driving up with Earl from the Campbodians (how ever they spell it) since he lives down the street from me. I believe we are leaving about 4pm so if anyone is interested in driving up with us, let me know and plan on being at my house by 4. I will confirm the time with Earl though to be sure.

As previously stated for anyone that wants to caravan up
"We will meet at the Walmart on Murphy Canyon Rd at 3:30pm and plan to leave by 4pm"

We will come and find the camping crew once we get there.

My wife Pam, and I went, the camping was mucho fun, shared a site with Sergio and Maria! There are over 500 spots all with hook ups. The Bus movie was shown on a 30' screen, with a slight hill where everyone sat so there were no bad spots. Behind the large screen was the lake, The Cash Band played down by the Lake.

Not including the buses that stayed at the camp site (some bus pooled to the movie location) there were aprox. 40 buses parked on the grass where the movie was being shown!! We all grabbed our chairs found our spot and watched the movie.

Liv Johnson put on a great show, and made the camping affordable and available for the bus people. By the way it was her 18th b-day on Sat. She said an annual VW event will be in the works!! All the sites were under oak trees. Some swam in the lake, hit up the water slide or swam in one of the 2 pools. There was miniature golf, large play ground for the kiddies, bikes were diffidently a plus to have (didn't have mine)! Sorry .... I don't have pics!! and yes it did happen! My wife may have taken a few I'll check.

There were many sv2 members, the campbodians, I spotted a vto bus as well as many more crazy bus people from all over. There were many splits, bays and vanagons camping and at the movie.

Great venue, super fun people, and the food was shared by all! Bus people ROCK!!

Also a thanks to Rob and Julie for wanting to make this open to the club, they left early and I hope all is ok.

.

Sounds like it was a fun deal and no one melted. I watched my The Bus DVD last night and thought about you all sitting in the open, watching the movie. That little Liv is a hoot.

Well we almost got to see the Bus Movie. We made it to the event, but Elizabeth gave us quite a scare with a bit of heat stroke which forced us to leave early. She was back to her normal self by the time we got home. I guess we will have to wait until the next showing of the movie.

Whoa. Glad she is okay. I was surprised no one mentioned the heat before you. Triple digits here, for sure there!

It was awesome! I really wish I could have stayed to camp so I guess I will have to make plans next time to camp. My son had a blast and we both left full! The campbodians know how to cook! Everyone at the camp sites were great and the same for those I met at the movie.

Here are some pictures I took and my son.
