Chris - the list of club activities I have shows you organizing a camping trip the last weekend in April. Since Dan has opened up his Trail Bash/FREE Campout in Julian to all club members, seems that it might fit for the April Official Campout??????

I don't want to make it a SV2s official event because it being done with a bunch of dudes who aren't really into the club scene. It is really just a matter of name, but it might put some guys off if it becomes some sort of "official" club event and not just a get together of friends and acquaintances who happen to own buses. Hope you guys understand, I just want to avoid any silly drama.

Just my $0.25 :-k

Since Sunshine was originally organizing the cruise and it was Sergio who came up with the campout, how a bout a Loose Cruise with a club campout? I mean, even all our "official" club events have always been pretty much open to all including non-members!

Please don't forget the newsletter as a tool for publicizing activities. If you'd like me to post this or any other event, please send me a definitive, accurate summary of what you're planning. Also, after the event perhaps someone could write up a little something about it........................I'm just sayin'.

Please send to pegtonchristina@verizon.net

But Larry, you do bring up a good point in that the club was thinking about camping that very same weekend... :???:

Well now, my turn. I appreciate Dan's effort in starting the Trail Bashes they have been fun. I know the first one you had, had a number of vw bus people that I met for the time and have seen them and cruised with them since. This is Dan's event and I can see his point as well as Larry's, I also would like to see a club camp out. That being said this is open to all club members as well as non members. The only difference is that it is not an official sv2s event. This has always been a split window bus only event, however Dan has also opened it up to sv2 members (only) who drive a bay window bus, so as I see it there are no type 2 exclusions!! (no wedges). This will be a super fun and a large coupe of VW bus folks! I also don't want drama and I think this is a great way for us all to meet some new friends outside of the club!!!

i have a box of pancake mix and will make some. Randee cooked pancakes last time @ caspers so i am making some this time.
no drama at campouts as it is a time to relax away from drama.

So it sounds like we are saying we will not have an official SV2's club event for April. If you were interested in going to the SV2's April Campout, go to Dan's San Diego County Spring cruise/campout event instead.

This sounds like a great idea to me, why have competing events.
