OK I have printed out hopefully more than enough flyers to hand out to everyone at Bob Baker. 200 flyers is too much? Let me know so I can print more if needed. I also want everyone in the club to feel free to take flyers home with you to hand out. Don't worry about taking too many as I can easily get more.

Familienfest 17
When: August 20, 2011
Where: Deer Park Winery

Cost: $15 for car and driver. $10 for passengers/spectators
Swap spaces: $20 for 20x20 space $35 with trailer

Gates open at 7am for Car Show and Swap
Show hours are from 9am-3pm to the general public.

Hot Dog Fred to be serving up hot dogs and brats.

Food, Raffle, Music, Car Show, New Parts, Swap Meet, Kiddie Carnival, Kiddie Raffle, Special Club Only Parking, Vintage/Custom Bike Display, Vintage/Custom Wagon Display, and the ever so popular Camper Display

Gates open at 7am!

I didn't see the address for Deer Park any where. While that's a no brainier for most VW folks wouldn't we want to bring in new blood?

good catch Fish. I just checked the flyers. No address on it anywhere. One thing though is on the back of the flyer we have the map. I will create new flyers when in the office next week that actually has the address. Thanks

I can't remember the reason why we changed the weekend to be the 20th and not the 27th. Someone remind me please? It is not like we can change it.

I only asked about the 27th since in the years past FF has always been the last Saturday of August.

Sue, from what I have been told the day we had our meeting and went to Deer Park, it was too late in the game to change to Sunday. Also if it did change to Sunday, I would not be able to make it since I am completing my triple crown half marathon that day by running the America's Finest City half marathon.

Being that we have already started to promote this show for the 20th, it is definitely too late to change the plan now. So this year we might end up with less people.

I think FF has always been the 3rd Saturday in August? I have a wedding on August 20th that I need to attend, and I'm camping at San Elijo August 13-20. Its looking like this year FF is out of my plans :x . Unless something changes before then. :roll:

David (I believe) is the one that told me that FF was always the last Saturday of August. That is why I set up the re-occurring appointment in my calendar and it was actually set for the 27th. Either way it is the 20th this year.

With the change from the 27th to the 20th, I cannot make it to FF this year either. My daughter will be just out of the hospital that day.

It was always scheduled the Saturday before the Pomona show on Sunday's which happened to fall on the third Saturday. At some point, we stopped caring if they coincided at all.

well hopefully people that got ripped off last year will not go this year and instead come to FF. Looks like the winners were promised some money and never got it. The only thing they got going for them is the bikini contest and hooters wing eating contest. Also $20 whether you are driving a car in or walking in might drive people away.

It also looks like we could possibly run into this issue every year since last year the show was on August 8th. I am sure they are at the mercy of the venue's availability. That is the beauty in Deer Springs.

We need to post up a thread on TS. Can anyone please photoshop the flyer with the correct email address and prices?
