Dave, are we meeting at Toledo and Ridge Route? Get off the freeway at El Toro Road, head east, turn left on Toledo, meet at Toledo and Ridge Route?

The Lake Forest July 4th Parade rocked! Our generous sponsor, The Jewelry Box, treated us to the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at El Toro High School. Tony was even chauffeured by ZZ Top! We had a colorful turnout of split and bay buses and a late addition of a nice guy with a 21-window that saw mention of us on theSamba! As in years past, we were the crowd favorite! Dave24 put together a wonderful after-party at his shop, complete with food to feed an army and water balloons to "cool off"! Thanks to Dave for his organizational skills and dedication to making this happen even with the sv2s website on the blink.

I'm so sorry I missed the parade, it looked like a great time was had by all!!

On the brighter side, I was able to work that day and leave early after I found out my second grandson had been born at 11:03 am, his name is Mason and I got to spend the rest of the day and evening with the family at home.

Great news! We're happy for you and Kari on the new addition to the family. Priorities: new babies trump parades every time.

Congratulations Grandpa!!!, and though you were missed at the parade, it comes around every year. Grand children are only born once... .

Due to many, varied life/business issues, my bus will be up for sale very soon. Obviously, if it sells before the parade date, I won't be participating in or organizing this event. I thought perhaps Sue or someone else might want to take over here. This will be the 4th year of participation, and I'd hate to see it end as so many of you and other bus owners/participants seem to really love this event. I'll be more than sad to see my bus go, but sometimes you just have to let go of certain things. I'll keep you all posted on the situation... but if someone wants to step up and run the parade event, please PM me. Dave
