Don't you have a pink one, Bill? But seriously, I made up some "staff badges",
so wear what you like. A lot of people helping don't have "staff" shirts, so
really, the point is moot.

Is there a caravan driving up early from San Diego? Sorry if I missed details of this elsewhere.

I'm sure Bob Bent wouldn't mind a couple extra busses swinging by on an early Sunday morning.

I've got a group leaving PB @ 6:30. Most are not in SV2's, but they are in my other
clubs, and have helped in my previous shows, so they are giving a hand with Baker.
If anyone would like to assist with the show, or join us in our "carabus" as Larry put
it, call me (619 972-4132) and let me know you'd like to join us. We are leaving my house
at 6:30, stopping for gas & ice, then heading up to the show. We should arrive by 7-7:15.
Don Elliot will be there around 7:30 or so. It shouldn't take too long to get sorted so
we can start letting the entrants in at 8. This year, entry will be different. Participants
will enter through the SERVICE ENTRANCE, around the corner from the main entrance.
We will then start parking the entries in the same places as previous years, with some VW's
being "placed", then parking from back to front, so as to make the best of the space
we have. I'm sure there will be an early line out front, we will have to direct them to
the side entrance, to keep things orderly, I hope!

Everything seems ready! We should have a great turnout! See you all tomorrow.

P.A.

Got the t-shirts. Got the sodas. Got the P.A. system (no jokes here) (thanks, David).
Got the entry forms, ballots, raffle tickets, prizes, trophies (again, thanks David), Hot Dog
Fred is coming, Doug & Ken will have their Busses in the showroom, got the pens, pencils, tape,
radios, music, mic's, signs, coolers, banners, oh well, you get the idea.
Let's all have a good time and enjoy the day!

Thanks to you all!

As some of you know about my housing situation things have been a bit crazy latlely. I'm not going to be able to make the show in the morning. We have a meeting with our pool contractor tomorrow. I hope the show goes well ( I'm sure it will). I'll be checking for pictures tomorrow and I'll post some crazy pictures of our pool project when I get a chance.

I'm bringing a HUGE cooler as well as a regular one! Get at least 3 extra 20lbs bags! ;-)

It's over, and can be considered another success!! Thanks to all who helped out
and to those who came to support the show. We reached 75 VW's (capacity)
sold almost all of the t-shirts (65 or so), had a good raffle, and Hot Dog Fred
sold the heck out of Brat's & Dog's. The Baker staff was REALLY happy, especially
MR. BAKER. I hope everyone had a good time, and those who didn't/couldn't make
it, I hope you can come to the next one! We had fun!

Thanks again to everyone, and thanks for letting me do the show!

P.A.

Thank YOU, Mr. P.A. for taking the reins.
Next year we need hot beverages for those of us freezing our buns off. It took hours before I was thawed.

It turned out great....except for the what seemed like sub-freezing temperatures. A big pot of coffee would have been really nice. Thanks to P.A., the SDACS, and SV2s for a good solid show.

Sue & Larry,

You know, if we bring coffee and such next year, it's going to be
90 degrees by 8 am. But, I think I'll pick up a "to go carafe" from
one of the coffee shops next time, AND build a warming hut in
the middle of the canopy! It was a little chilly out.
Now let's start working on FFest!

Nice show , I was only there for about an hour but got to see a nice selection of VWs , loved that BD inside the showroom , the Off Road Thing was nice and of course that nice green vert. Looking forward to FF.

Hey Lance,

Are you re-plastering it or taking it out?
Damn, I'd like to skate that! The show was good.
We (the Club) did well! You were missed.
