If anyone knows anyone looking for a new sand toy. Let them know I have one.

This was my father's rail. It has a fuel injected 2442 engine with superflo heads, ceramic coated exhaust, billet and chrome all over. swing axle with close 3rd and 4th. It gets up and goes and climbs hills like it was on flat land. Awesome rail. Wish I could keep it but I don't have the money to keep this thing up and going let alone the gas money to take it somewhere I can drive it.

Asking $8k ($9k on TS) OBO

Let me know.

Very nice buggy. Does it come with a trailer?

Thanks! The trailer it was in is a double decker home made trailer. My dad built it and it currently has my mom's sandrail in it. I don't have a trailer for it.

What are your thoughts on the price Fish? Too much for just a sandrail?

Well I have NOT really been looking at buggies lately, but I've seen a lot and I do mean a lot, in worse shape for a lot more money with no trailer.

It looks fairly priced to me. Maybe even low. Sometimes a low price scares them away.

Chris - nothing yet

Fish - thanks for the heads up. I looked on TS for mid engine. I think with the options it has, engine, and condition, it is priced right but that is me. That is why I put OBO on TS. I would hope someone would come and offer me something close so I can dump this thing. Tired of looking at it. It was my father's rail and I just can't stand the thought of selling his baby but my mom needs the money.

Thanks again for the info.

Nice looking rail. I have been going back and forth about getting back out to the desert. I spent a lot of time out there up until high school. I really don't like the scene out there now. If I was to get something I think I'd go for a 4 seater. I think your price is fair but you are now off season you might get a better dollar for it after Labor Day.

the Glamis scene is bad. My son wants to go out there but the scene is just stupid. Nothing but idiots with no commonsense. Drinking idiots on wheels.

I know I am in the off season but I am looking to sell this thing before Labor Day. I might have to drop the price a little then.

I did get 2 emails from my CL ad. One was to trade for a F150 and the other said to reply with my email address. I don't think so.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Just a thought, but there's gotta be sandrail/dune buggy/desert rat-type forums out there that might get this thing sold faster. Maybe TS is your best bet, I don't know, just thinkin' out loud...

had a guy call tonight about it. He is from the bay area and was down in Bakersfield looking at a couple of rails. Even brought a trailer. He was going to drive another 3 hours but time was not on his side. So possibly next week he will come down.

I guess I will have to find some other places to post this at.
