If you are going to be having dinner there, or just buying an ice tea, bring cash! :?

They have a "new" policy on the groups using the back room which means they'll provide a single bill for the group. I have a funny feeling that this is a restaurant wide deal and even if we were to move to another place, more than likely it will have the same type policy. :(

So please bear with us. Your cooperation with this "new" policy is much appreciated. 8)

I agree. Thanks to all for the service to our country (does it still have meaning coming from an ex-USAF guy?)

Thanks guys... :D And I also thank you all who have served before and us. (Veterans Day soon...) Squids, Zoomies, and Army Dawgs alike!! :P :P

It's all about traditions and passing the leadership torch from one generation to the next. And like I said before, this group has some OUTSTANDING leadership. :D So thanks to all of you who take those skills and keep on marching even after active duty! :P

How did the "cash" thing work? Did it go smooth or was it a hassle for the treasurer? Tax and tip easy to figure and receive?

Went okay, 'cept for one that "forgot" to pay for his Jambalaya!

They do divide the orders per "table" (more like seat  ) including the total for each. Just remember to leave a tip. Those who "forget" to pay are simply expecting the club to cover their meal. :?

As I am the club's pockectbook, everyone must come see me about their bill BEFORE leaving!!! Also this means that in the event I am absent on meeting night, somebody else must take care of the bill for the room. In that rare case it is EXTREMELY important that everyone pays before leaving or whoever takes care of the bill will have to pay for the "skippers" out of his own pocket!

Now, nobody wants THAT to happen, do we? :o

Are they also adding the usual 18% tip for groups? Not that I want to short-change Jennifer, but a 33% tip (the customary 15% + the auto-added 18%) is a little excessive.

No tip is added to the individual sub-totals, only to the full bill at 15%. 8)

Thanks for that reply. Ok, next question. The calendar shows a club meeting the night before the Christmas Party. Is this a mistake or is there one?

As you "may already" know, the San Diego Chapter has always had a "non-meeting" meeting on the first Friday in December even though the "official" December meeting is actually the Christmas party on the first weekend. We've only been doing that for a little longer than I can remember.

That said, this "non-meeting" is had simply because new members as well as some would be first timers at our meeting might show up and we don't want them to think we no longer meet there or that they are at the wrong place. 8)

So it really isn't an "official" meeting but we do meet with whoever shows up and talk buses and such. :P
